Kimberly (Kim) Lowry grew up in Bolivar Missouri and graduated from Drury College in 1985. She received her law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in December 1987 and, after passing the bar in February 1988, was licensed to practice in Missouri in May 1988. Kim clerked for the Honorable James K. Prewitt, Missouri Court of Appeals – Southern District and went on to work in the Missouri Public Defenders Office. Although she chose to practice on the civil side of law, her time with the Public Defenders’ Office enabled her to establish her impeccable reputation before the judiciary in Greene County. That reputation continues today. She has been in solo practice for more than thirty years. Kim has represented both men and women in divorces, modifications and paternity actions. She has helped families with minor guardianships, grandparents’ rights actions, adoptions and represented countless children as a guardian ad litem. She understands the emotional and mental health issues that affect adults and children as they negotiate the morass that can be the family law legal system. She is a strong advocate for her clients and has the ability to provide the advice and knowledge that will assist her clients both during and after their case is completed. Kim knows the importance of how decisions made now affect children and their parents in the years to come.
